Rachel Scantlebury completed her undergraduate studies in upstate New York, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Rochester, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. She worked as a registered nurse for nine years–seven of which were in inpatient Labor and Delivery (including at Sibley Hospital). She obtained her Master’s degree in Nursing from Georgetown University in 2018, and she became dually certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Nurse Midwife before starting with Capital Women’s Care. Rachel currently lives in Washington, DC with her family, and enjoys traveling, eating all the food, biking, and spending time with friends near and far. She enjoys all aspects of providing patient-centered OB/GYN care.
